Our staff provide care and support to our clients in the comfort of the client’s own home. A typical shift at a client’s home may include arriving with a smile and a happy greeting, help with breakfast and the morning routine, having a chat whilst we work, assist to wash or shower or just be there for reassurance. Do a little housework, washing up or laundry. Give a little nudge to remind the client to take their medications or assist them to if necessary. Prepare some lunch together to help take care of their nutrition, prompt them to use the toilet to keep them in a routine. Go on outings, accompany to hospital appointments, hairdressers or the shops/supermarkets.
Previous experience is not essential as a comprehensive training package will be provided, which will be paid for. This will include a full Induction programme with our In-house Training Manager, shadowing an experienced care/support worker and ongoing training, supervision and support. You will need to have a caring and considerate nature, a responsible attitude, empathy and sensitivity, respect for people’s individuality, a positive attitude, reliability, a full driving licence and the use of a car is preferable although bike riders will be considered.
